Hello forum friends, for those of you in the Pacific Northwest I would like to invite you to Willamette Valley Basenji Club's Eighth Winter Specialty & Sweepstakes. It will be on Wednesday January 19th, 2010.

This is the beginning of the Portland Rose City Classic dog show cluster.

There is a dog park in Bellevue. Is that too far? It’s not usually very crowded. That’s why I like it.

Found this thread and figured I would respond. I have an almost 1yr old Male (27 November) and would be interested in meeting up with other Basenji owners and their dogs. I live near Quantico and quite honestly don't see any other Basenjis ever. Will drive to most parks in the NOVA area.

Hi Tasia. I see that it has been a couple of years since you posted but we are in the Lehigh Valley and have a Basenji mix who would love a play date. He is only 3 years old though, so you know.

I'm moving to Lakewood, Ohio, about 40 minutes north of Copley, in two weeks!! There are TONS of basenji people in Ohio, spread out all over the state. I've noticed there is a dog park in Lakewood, obviously that's a bit of a drive for you, but perhaps we could get together for a play date!
I've also been told that Ohio has a lot of good dog parks, and I know there are a lot of parks and forest trails and stuff to take your dogs to.
I have two brindle girls.

We had a great time, Hippo managed to not be too much of a turd!! He won his class (he was the only one in it!)

It was really fun meeting Nemo, and Nicole also from the forum. Hopefully we will be able to meet more of you at other shows this year!!!

I just found this thread! It was great meeting you too. Hippo was such a sweet dog. He is a nice looking boy too.
