About tidal wave energy

Off Topic
  • Tidal wave energy is a renewable energy resource. It is based on the power of ocean currents. Ocean wave energy is 100% environment friendly and doesn?t emit any greenhouse gases. This creates a cleaner environment for the future generations.

The source of tidal energy is the movement of tides. Wave turbines, which do a role to similar to wind turbines, are placed under the sea water. The water movement results in the movement of turbines and thereby results in the production of electricity.

As the world is looking for renewable energy resources, tidal energy is getting more attention day by day. Tidal energy extraction works mostly on two basic theories. First is the creation of electric power from the horizontal movement of sea water and the second one from the rise and drop of sea water levels.

Tidal energy is highly dependable and predictable. As tides do not depend on weather, its motion can be predicted. Tidal energy works similar to that of hydro electric energy. Tidal energy is one of the clean and cost effective forms of alternative energy. The rise and ebb of the tides can be effectively used as an alternative energy resource.

More information about tidal energy and the methods of extraction can be obtained from the recent Energy Industry News reports.

I cannot imagine committing to buy a puppy without seeing the animal and if possible the sire and dam. OTOH, a rescue (or adoption of an older dog) is a different thing. My last two Basenjis came to me sight unseen, and turned out to be wonderful dogs, but the breeders I got them from wanted to place their dogs in an experienced Basenji home, and I only paid the cost of getting the dogs to me. One came by air, one was personally transported to me by his breeder. If she hadn't been happy with what she found I expect she would have taken him back with her when she left. I also had to commit to return him if ever I couldn't keep him. Good breeders care about where their dogs end up.

@kembe - Very True Kembe, here is a link on looking for a responsible breeder. https://bconc.org/finding-breeders-red-flags There are many scammers out there, don't fall for one.. or a person that is not a responsible breeder.

@sanjibasenji Thanks for the article on Dog Genome Project - I found it very interesting. I was trying to figure out the interactive Genome wheel. It has the basenji closely related to the Azawakh and rat terrier but I’m still trying to figure out the first wheel which has the basenji listed w/ black/grey starting point. As far as the PBS Dog Tales video - it’s very interesting - it’s season 47 episode 2 - I highly recommend you watch the whole thing (54 minutes).

@Ashmoore92 It got put on the "back burner" ... I have some, but not enough for a book. I'll circle back around to it.

Nobarkus, do you remember the ballyhoo over the "Hole in the Ozone Layer?" We all had to give up CFC propelled aerosols, change our vehicle paints and revamp the entire industrial sector of our economy. Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioning systems, you name it…all had to be changed. Who made a buck off that? Now we know the ozone layer not only cycles just like every other part of nature, but is replenished with every lightening strike. I was a schoolgirl at the time and I still remember the hysteria over this. At the same time, there was a huge push to make everyone believe direct sunlight is bad for people. Newer research has shown we need direct sunlight in order for our bodies to make vitamin D, which has a great impact on bone strength and the immune system. The point is that we have been subjected to various hysterias over time. I have become numb to most of it. I believe our friend Al Gore, among others, is in line to make tons of money over this global climate change nonsense. That's what this is really all about. My wish in this life is to be left alone to make my own decisions with regard to my life and how I choose to live it. Unfortunately, that is unacceptable to people who crave power over others. These are interesting times, yeah? Cheers
