Lure practice

Hello from Reno Nevada. I am interested in lure, been to one trial and practiced with my girl 3 times. Besides going to trial to practice do people get together, or is there things I can do at home (besides buying my own equipment). Thanks.

There used to be more independent practices but with fields hard to find and often expensive, practices are now mostly left until after a trial.

do you do anything at home to practice, like drag aroung a plastic bag?
