Terrible Twos?

So Bassit has just turned 7 months. And I swear, it's like a little 'evil' switch has been turned on in her brain! My sweet, docile little puppy is suddenly pure darn badness from the end of her nose to the tip of her tail.
I suppose that's what I get for being smug, thinking that I got the one 'perfectly behaved' basenji!
Tell me though, in your experience, do puppies go through a toddlerhood? Where all of a sudden, they're into everything? And do they ever grow out of it?
I have to admit, the pure GLEE she gets from grabbing something she knows isn't hers makes me laugh.

OH MY, I just noticed that there was a thread just two below asking the same thing! Sorry for the unintentional repost!

You had a docile little puppy?!? Maybe she just didn't know she was a Basenji yet. My 4 month old could never EVER be described as docile, but she's sometimes very sweet.:D:D:D
I think you probably just got an early break from normal B puppy action!

:D :D Love this thread!
Tillo was a real b-pup all the way, but around 7 - 12 months he was definitely at his top :D He has calmed down A LOT lately! He's now 16 months and really less naughty.. As in.. I don't have to look immediatly when it is too quiet :D -

Ha, ha…lucky you, but I did notice that you used the word "immediately" :D:D:D! Brando is 4yo and if he is being quiet and I don't see him, chances are he is up to no good! Thank God for Ruby who tattles on him! :D:D

Ummm - I heard about the "twos" phenomenom early on too. I was so concerned! BUT…reality for me now is (Duke's 3, Daisy's 2) the kids are perpetual toddlers - because when I'm busy - they take advantage. One or the other will table surf and find something to chew on: pens, pencils, crayons, even Kids Meals toys - whatever they find interesting enough. We do try, sometimes unsuccessfully, to keep things out of reach. It's not always enough. They are still mischievious when given the chance. They are getting better though - It's not their fault as much as it is their people. :o

In our limited experience - Kona is over a year and we have had her since November - she goes through the terrible twos during two time periods of the day…once in the morning between 8-10 and once in the evening between 4-6. The rest of the time is a very sweet girl :)

The B-500s are getting out of hand as well! Yesterday, she was doing circuits of the house and leapt into a bedside table, causing everything to go flying. Now I understand what they mean when everyone says 'You need a sense of humour to be owned by a Basenji'
