Pittsburgh Show

Off Topic
  • I'm entered in the Pittsburgh shows at the end of this month and was wondering if anyone out there can recommend an RV campground in the area.

  • What are the dates of the shows? I live 30 miles east of Pittsburgh. Are they at the David Lawrence Convention Center? I know there are some RV campgrounds about an hour north of Pittsburgh… Moraine State Park and Lake Arthur. From Pittsburgh, you go up Route 79 until it intersects with Route 422. (New Castle exit) You may be able to find some private campgrounds closer to town.

  • The shows are the 28th and 29th of March and they are indeed at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Thanks for the RV park info. I'll do a search on that.

I have done rescue for years, and before I became a member of EBC and realized their support, I saw all breeders as adding to my rescue numbers. OF course, that is totally wrong thinking..but when you have more dogs than you can place, and not a good support system, it can make you ridged and bitter. I do know. I totally understand her and I tried to share with her how I went from where she is to where I am. I does take a village..it takes a breed club to open their hearts and wallets. It take a rescue to realize that breeders, good breeders keep the dogs we love healthy. Its a long learning process, and thank heavens I have lived long enough to get to this.

I watched the show this afternoon, I cried when they showed the dogs they had to euthenize. I just hugged Chase a little tighter and reached over to scratch Zahra (she was squirrel watching at the window). My heart just broke over having to put down those beautiful animals. Overall I think Oprah did a great job, I hope she does more follow up episodes where maybe she can spotlight rescue groups such as BRAT.
