Lovely, thank for sharing.

Fabulous photos! When Mirtillo is in the high grass I can almost envision a Basenji on the hunt in Africa.

Great photos and when I look at your dog, it really confirms what my vet told me: Anubie has to go on a diet! She looks so plump and yours looks so slim and fit. Right, this is Saturday, extra long walk tomorrow! Thanks for giving me courage to walk her along a lovely path nearbye butβ¦full of nerve racking (for me) dangers: swans on water, pigeons to chase, the odd rabbit and dogs and dogs running after her!(she tends to snarl at them, met a sort of mix between staff/Rotweiller this morning, he seemed happy and easy going enough but I called his owners to restrain him as it was impossible to get him off my B, nerve racking experience those walks in the country!!). Anyway, your B looks beautiful and full of energy. Keep sending pictures.

Thank you
I hope these kind of walks help Mirtillo to envision himself on the hunt in Africa

Great pictures. I wish I had places like that near me far away from the street as Medjai doesn't like to come back until he's smelled EVERYthing.

Haha, it is nerve racking in the beginning, isn't it But also nice to see her running, right? As long as you make sure there is no traffic and you have a 'trick' to make her come back to you.. she should be fine. I don't know how it works in France, but Tillo is chipped and registered. So if he gets lost and someone finds him, they can track me down (on internet).
And yes, Tillo is pretty slim. He goes to the 'baby'sitter during the week and I think he was 'stealing' some cookies there, because people told me he was getting 'fat'β¦ He has been on a babysitter-diet since and is now back at his normal weight again
For shows he looks better with a pound or so extra.. but I think it is healthier to keep him slim.

I have to admit.. the street isn't too far away.. but I walk away from the street and on our way back he's on leash..
Tillo also has to smell everything.. and today he found something to eat.. I told him 'no', but he looked at me like⦠yeah right.. I'm loose.. and he took off..
I just walked away in the other direction and let him eat it.. when he came to me I told him what a good boy he was.. haha.. I think he was like: 'if you don't think I'm a good boy.. I'll take off again'

Thanks for sharing the pictures. Tillo looked so serious in some of them - he must have been focused in on something good smelling.
