Not true… Not sure where you hear that one... but I have fed chicken both cooked and raw to mine for years.. also the dry I use has a base of Chicken along with the canned too....
Now of course dogs can have allergies to it... along with many other things

When our dog severe got diarrhea, the vet told us to feed him white rice & boiled chicken. He said that's about the most neutral thing you can feed your dog.
But he told us that chicken alone does not have all the nutrients the dog requires so would not be good for a stand alone diet.

The reason they call for a Bland diet is that it is supposed to be low to no fat, which is why you are supposed to boil the hamberger in water and drain to take off the fat…

Corn is basically a filler and doesn't provide nutritional value anyway-I try to stay away from it.

For tummy upsets, boil, no seasonings… white has less fat.... but I do boil it for regular meals as an extra, especially for my 16yr olds... and I use dark (cheaper)... and keep some of the fat...

If you can use brown rice it's better nutritionally than white-also sweet potato is excellent nutrition as well-it's pretty easy for them to digest as well.

I make boiled chicken with rice, carrots, green beans and sometimes peas. He loves it the first day, but he doesn't like eating "leftovers" the next day. And yet he'll eat an old deep-fried chicken wing that he "discovers" near the park. (And nearly rip my hand off if I try to get it away from him.) Go figure!

:D :D I am also not aware of any problems with feeding chicken. Should be fine as far is I know.
