Lillie in her new bed

Show Off Your Dog
  • Here is a pic of Lillie in her new bed. I bought it for her on June 15. She was hesitant at first…but now she loves it! Tonight, I saw her digging under the pillow. I think she was trying to hide her treat. Well, the bed lasted 5 days and now it has many rips on the bottom. What can you do? She still looks absolutely adorable in it. I taped it...let's see how long that lasts!:D

  • Why is his bed on top of another pillow?

  • Her bed is on top of the pillow because Lillie used to sleep on that pillow and I thought she would feel more comfortable being near the pillow.

  • I use a small pillow under Jojo's bed because I don't want any cold from the hard wood floors coming up into the bottom of her bed plus it seems more comfy to me…love the pink, where did you ever find it? I looked and looked all over Knoxville and I could not find a pink one that was not for a tiny dog...

  • She looks happy in it. Is Lillie hugging a plush dog? Very adorable!

  • I like those beds too…I swear they are warmer & more comfy :)

  • Nala ate her first bed like that! We got an outdoor one and she would lay on it and not chew it, but then my brilliant husband put it inside a wicker basket - she ate the basket. Now we have an enormous bed from Costco for inside during the winter and out on the porch during the summer.
We buy the beds like that at Wal-Mart for $10 so we can just toss them if she digs or chews them. So far, so good!
    She's awfully cute!!

Thanks to all for nice words! :) On Wednesday Kwame is 3 weeks old. These pics are from weekend, when he didn't open his eyes yet… I hope to get his "open eyes" pics soon :). I think he has very nice similar white on face :) [image: attachment.php?attachmentid=8955&d=1323080571] [image: attachment.php?attachmentid=8954&d=1323080557] [image: attachment.php?attachmentid=8953&d=1323080543] [image: attachment.php?attachmentid=8952&d=1323080530] [image: attachment.php?attachmentid=8951&d=1323080515] [image: attachment.php?attachmentid=8950&d=1323080501] Can't wait till January when we take him home to Buju and Masai :).

Otis, or should I saw my Dachshund Gus, thinks stuffing is unnatural…the animals should be sold without them, and squikers (SP?) too. Both of them love the animals once they are limp, unstuffed, just the stuffed animal skin...that is when they are the best..In Otis' and Gus' humble opinion..

@weeziesmom: I have tried chew bones to curb his chewing however he tries to take weezies and they fight over them You can teach him to leave hers alone. Make them both sit for their chew; give hers first and make him stay with you when she dashes off to chew. {helps him see that she gets one/he gets one, and also gives her a head start!} Make sure he knows you have one for him also. He must sit and make eye contact with you before he is given his treat. Once they both have a chew, make them stay in different spots. Stand between them, moving your body silently to block his attempts to get to her. If necessary, tell him "no" or "leave it". It shouldn't take long for him to learn that he gets his and she gets hers. Eventually, he will just look when you hand her the treat and will sit and stare at your face until he gets his own, then he'll run to his own spot to chew his bone.
