Here is mother, Rally, and daughter, Rio, resting after last weekend's Basenji Club of Northern California Fall Specialty. And curled up by himself, our star for the day, Nicky, who was Best Opposite in Veteran Sweepstakes.
Ohhh they look the wiser - don't they. I love the Basenji look - Like, I want to know what they know! :) Thanks for sharing - and congrats to you and Nicky. Is Rio the b/w? I like her collar - an attractive accessory with her black & white fur. ;)
Our first Basenji, Seymour, yodeled a lot…sounded like a rooster crowing. Maxx rarely yodeled, but when he did, he sounded like Tim "The Toolman" Taylor from Home Improvements..."r-r-r-r."
@Janneke:
We're still in Sweden :D :D We're illegally using someones internet :D :D :eek: (this forum is addictive….)
But the trip is great :D The show was very nice, lovely to see so many dogs I only 'know' from the pictures and talk to the people behind the dogs :). Tillo did good as well, he was placed 5th with an excellent in his class of 11, of which I believe 6 got an excellent. AND Tillo was nice to the judge :D Only running like crazy in the ring.... :rolleyes:
And now I know how stupid you feel when you are in a show ring in a different country with different show rules and a language you really don't understand... And people just keep on talking to you in Swedish :D :D
Ahh right I thought it was a bit soon for you to be back lol.
Well done on Tillo's placement:D
Ahh the language problem, it makes things interesting doesn't it;)
Glad you are having a nice time, hope you have taken lots of piccies for us:D
Ooh.. look how skinny he was there! Haha.. Great shots! Love your b's! I checked out your site.. what a cute pics of little Dojo with his new 'mom/sis' Peony. :)
Edit: It's Mirtillo ;)
