My Basenjis are 6 and 3. We live in Florida and I usually run with them 1-2, sometimes 3 miles. My run is still just a trot for them, but I let them stop and sniff and potty whenever they need/want, and I just do squats while they do it :). On the 3-milers, I am sure to bring water or let them stop and drink at the beach which is the turn around point. I also wet them down before hand.

I couldn't decide where to post this, so general B talk sounded good. Describes the temperament etc of a Basenji. Hope new and perspective owners check this out, and the video is soooo cute of a Basenji playing with an egg!

Oh, I love this! Every description I read makes me more proud to have my B in my life. I hadn't seen that one before.
Also, that egg… makes me want to try this with Penny, but I'm assuming that one was hardboiled. I'm always looking for more ideas for her. She figured out the laser pointer was a hoax in under 5 minutes.
