Let's also consider that when you chase your dog, the dog thinks it's a game and will run away from you. Like... "you can't catch me!" Man, Basenji's can bolt! On the other hand, when you are the one running away, the dog instinctively joins you because you are part of the dog's family/pack. This is not to be confused with a learned command to chase an assailant, in Police work, for example. That would be a totally different game of chase.
Winter break is over!
-
Tonight we had our first agility training after a looong winter break. After three months of doing only obedience, I thought Tillo would have forgotten how it works…. I couldn't have been more wrong.. I have got such a great dog!! :D:D From minute one he was concentrated. The trainer was also very excited, after every run he was shouting "You go girl! You've got such an awesome dog!!" So I have been walking around with a big smile on my face this entire evening.. I just had to share it! :D:D:D
We are now curled up on the couch together. I just love my boy
