Just to clarify I NEVER have collars of any description, left on any of my dogs. I have heard some horrendous stories about dogs hanging themselves, etc, etc, (as many of us have heard, Im guessing ???), so I wont leave a collar on any of my dogs, ever... This choker is only used on her on show days... I feel I need to keep her on it though, cos she is quite a difficult, (read: headstrong, stubborn, and very much "I will do this MY way", type of attitude :D:D), bitch to show. Having said that Olivia is now showing her, and at the moment they are doing quite well together, so I might show her on a soft leather lead I have...

Look up local dog clubs in your area. Ours in Missouri is Greater Kansas City Dog Training Club. They have Obedience and training for shows. Hope this helps.

How many basenji's are at specialty shows I have never been. I went to a small dog show in southern california and I think there were only 12 basenjis. My B and I had a nice time watching the show.

We had over 60 Basenjis for our Specialty weekend.

Thank you Pat we had walked her many times but it must not have been enough at least it was not poop thank goodness. I have never been around a breed of dogs that most if not all females of that breed were in season at same time.
