Thank you all for your nice comments!
Lovely bitchβ¦..! great pictures, curious if the puppy came in season and how that went with Tillo?
Thank you! Yes, the puppy came in season She just finished! It went really well with Tillo! He wasn't interested until day 18 and then he was interested until day 23, which was last wednesday. We didn't even need a crate! We just kept them in sight and if we weren't home one got the top of the house and the other the bottom
Still happy it's over though..
@Buddys:

Thank you all Aoide went BISS puppy last weekend under judge Jon Curby, so we are very proud of her!
Aoide is a beautiful little girl! She is quite the little stunner. Thanks for the pics, do you take them yourself?
Thank you! Most of the pics are made by my hubby, Job Some are by myself, but normally I'm the one 'handling' the dogs
Congratulations.. Aoide and Tillo are beautiful and your pictures are amazingβ¦!!!
Thinking very seriously about adding a baby girl!!!
Thanks I think adding a B girl was the best thing I did this year, lol, so I would say⦠what's stopping you?
Thank you for the nice comments They are both very special little dogs and they are a great couple together! Tillo wasn't too sure about the 'adding a puppy' thing in the beginning.. but soon enough he got used to it.. And now he loves having a sis
Tanza: thank you! I'm really happy with how she's growing up. I still have some points that I would like to change⦠but no dog is perfect, right?
And Tillo.. I wish he would let me show him.. but he just doesn't like it.. Who knows, maybe in veteran class in a couple of years, haha
I know.. we're not on the forums as often as we would like too.. but trying to write an article doesn't go well with posting on forums Aoide will turn 7 months this Saturday and that day she will also be shown in puppy class for the first time at the German Speciality.. so time for a 'what happened these last few months' in a picture story

Finally our baby girl is home!! And she's just perfect..! She's so polite towards us and Tillo and so brave when she has to stay in her crate in the car or at night. And also when she meets new dogs or other 'scary' things, she's fine with everyone and everything. At first, Tillo was a bit unsure about how to act around her, but he's doing much better now! I can write pages about her.. but this is "Show off your dog".. so.. here she is!

Great pictures Kim! That yodeling pic is priceless of course.. too cute!
Funny, when I see 'Digital' I always pair it up in my head with 'the brindlewonderkid'.
I have exactly the same! Digital always sounds like a very special boy, I hope he's doing ok
Tillo runs on the track 375 m in 30 seconds and a bit, so he runs about 41 km/h.
Aaw.. what a cutie! You'll be so busy with two pups.. It sure wouldn't be my choice But I bet you'll have sooo much fun! Post lots of pics!

Yes, they do special orders. You can send in pics of your dog/cat/bird/child etc. You can decide if it has to go in a round or rectangle charm and there are also two sided charms. You can also tell what colours you would like for the beads and it is possible to order it as a necklace.
There are also charms in which she can put a bit of hair of your animal, as a remembrance.
The money goes to an organization that helps stray dogs in other parts of Europe.
Beautiful charm! You guys are so thoughtful.
And I think I had favorited Kibibi's portrait on flickr? Or if not, I should have. I totally remember that picture showing up in my photo stream. Those elegantly crossed legs are just tooooo much!
Ah yes, I see you commented on the pic as well! I never really understand how Flickr works :S I just upload pics and that's it But thank you for the nice comment about the picture and the charm, I think it's really lovely as well.. And I'm just completely in love with Kibibi.. haha.. I hope Aoide turns out to be a copy of her mom
Of course you can't pick up your pup without bringing something for the breeder, right? When we were visiting the puppies Job made a lovely picture of mom Kibibi:
And I decided to send that picture to someone in the Netherlands who makes 'Lucky Dogz'.. Today I received the result! I'm really pleased with it and I hope Aoide's breeder will ike it as well
There is also an extra 'thingy' to turn it into a keychain. I'm definitely going to order something like this for myself also with pics of Tillo and Aoide!
I'm so very sorry for your loss, Robyn. She sounds like a special girl and you describe her beautifully. I hope you will also be able to adjust to her not being around any more and I hope the pain of her loss will ease in time.
Thank you all for the nice comments It was such a lovely walk, I'm happy we decided to go. Normally I'm a bit worried about all those B's getting together.. But they proved me wrong
so much fun to see so many R&Ws (that's my favorite color)
It was a beautiful sight! We got quite a lot of positive comments. And the R&W's are my absolute favorites as well
All these beautiful pictures make me want to move to the Netherlands⦠Last winter you took a picture of rows of trees in the snow that I still can't get out of my head...O to dream...
You are always welcome to come and visit
Hi Janneke,
I am about to get my basenjis, Willow and Kai, this weekend (yes, we have prepared as well as we can!). It's funny, my girl, Willow does not have a white collar, rather she has a white mark on the back of her neck - at first, I was a little disappointed, since she didn't look like the "typical" basenji that I had pictured in my head. Then I realized that some of the Bs that I love to look at the most on this forum are Kipawa and TIllo. I finally made the connection of the lack of collar to the 2 dogs. Now I am really excited that she is among the chosen few to be marked that way. I visit Tillos website often when I need some inspiration to get me through the long days until I get my baby dogs. Now I am in the final countdown.
What part of the Netherlands are you in? I just had a fabulous 10-day trip to Amsterdam in October - half work and half pleasure. It was lovely.
Hi Amelie,
How exciting that you are adding two B's this weekend! I really like it when Basenjis haven't got a white collar. I like the way the white goes from Tillo's chest to his neck and how it is surrounded by the red coat.
I was actually a bit disappointed that Aoide has so much white, haha But she's just as sweet, cute, smart, special and pretty as she would have been without all that white.. so who cares
And it will probably look 'flashy' in the show ring :S :p
We live right next to Amsterdam, in Almere! Good to hear you enjoyed yourself If you ever plan to return and need a Basenji fix, let me know! You are more than welcome
