Welcome to the family Zulu!!

We unfortunately dealt with this with our last 2 Jack Russells. Jack was 14 when he passed in 2012. He was literally climbing the walls and had sundowners. Stubber Pup, the love of my life passed 9//3/2019 at 17+ years. He couldn’t see or hear anymore. He didn’t even react to his name most of the time and he couldn’t get off the couch by himself. He’d just stand up there, look at me and just pee. He didn’t even know he was doing it. He’d whimper constantly and bark for no reason. Anxiety was intense. I couldn’t leave him in a room by himself. I really feel for you because it’s tough and heartbreaking going through it for the puppers and you. You just have to hang tough for them and go through it. The vet put both of them on anti anxiety meds which helped a little. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

Crazy but loving lol. We’re wintering in Arizona and a firefighter we met on a hike yesterday on a mountain top was the first person to say, “hey, is that a Basenji! She loves everyone and adventure. (Teki’s had plenty in her short 2 years because we travel a lot!) She’s a wild child but super loving and affectionate. We’re getting a new puppy when we get home in 3 weeks so the adventure continues lol!

I got a new one coming in April just born 6 days ago. Going to be a long 3 months but we’re so excited!

Thank you, he sure is! His new sister is Teki, our 2 y/o trindle. She came home to us when she was 7 months. She’s still getting used to Zulu and sharing her toys, our bed and huparents but doing well with him being that he’s only been home for 6 days

  We were on vacation in Moab UT in June when a breeder we had been corresponding with for a couple months called and said she had a 7 month old available. We were heading to southern Arizona but made a left turn instead and drove to North Carolina to meet Teki. We fell in love and took her home to Wisconsin but first spending another week camping along the way. She’s an excellent traveler and loves camping. We couldn’t have asked for a cuddly, mischievous, funny and independent sweetheart!!

Teki’s is her “witching hour “. Every day at 6 pm she starts going into crazy mode. Of course witching hour changes with DST lol

She’s beyond adorable! We can’t wait to get our little guy next month! He’ll be 12 weeks. I would have liked to get him at 10 but we’re wintering in Arizona. Have fun no matter what with your cutie pie!

Yes, Zulu’s a puppy and will be 4 months on the 19th (the R&W). Teki is overweight. I actually have an appointment next week for a full thyroid panel. She just keeps putting on more weight despite our cutting down her food the last few months and limiting treats. We thought with her being so crazy active with the new puppy would help but so far not

I second that. We adopted Teki when she was 7 months, potty training was already done for us but she was still all “puppy”. We didn’t really want to go through the early puppyhood even though that’s such an adorable time. Good luck! She’s a year and a half now and a crazy joy!

Teki’s doing Fast Cat next month for the first time at age 2 1/2. I’d really like to see how Zulu would do because he’s so fast but it’s AKC sponsored and you must be at least one year of age
