    I know too many puppies and dogs injured or killed due to collars left on unattended. Not worth the risk.

    Im not sure what DEFRA is but I read somewhere that the quarantine and all that had been lifted in great Britain… Not sure.. Anyway, I'm not sure if they do.. But dogs are imported into Brittain all the time, especially show dogs, I don't think it would be tool difficult. cheers happy New Year!

    Rojer, wth? fipronil and methoprene (the ingredients in FRONTLINE, btw) are to kill fleas, it is not a FOOD for dogs and does not help hair and nourish the bones of the dog.

    Thanks for all of the great ideas. I will go to the limited time for feeding and may start to mix in a little wet good as well. I have begun some train with her but was told I have to wait for all of her shots to take her to obedience classes. She has her third set this monday and then the last ones in three weeks. I have almost got her to sit, she does it if she knows I have a treat but struggles if I just come out of the blue and tell her to sit. We're working on it.

    We drove out to Indiana and met with the BCOSW Rescue Coordinator on Friday. Vixen's new name is Daisy. She is 9 weeks old already. I was successful uploading just a few photos into Photobucket. These photos were taken at the pet friendly hotel. We spent Thursday night there, anticipating the Friday morning union. Daisy is so sweet. [image: DukeDaisy002.jpg] Here you can see the banter begin in the hotel room. Lisa & Wanda from the BCOSW helped with their introduction . . . It continues until they're napping or in their crates. Duke is real pushy intervening attention by us with Daisy. Even though he gets more than his fair share of love & attention. Does anyone know how long this will last? Any suggestions? Daisy gets right back in Duke's face though. She is not afraid of him. He puts his teeth on her, I get nervous, because he is so much bigger and stronger than her. She goes after his stubby tail. He springs up on the sofa to get out of her way. She goes under the sofa to get out of his way. Then they're off and running again. :confused: The dynamic in our home has once again changed.     Hi all - I am not a basenji owner, although my next door neighbor fostered and then adopted the most adorable one - named Joey!!! I actually found your site by googling to find out what happens to unsold puppies at a petstore, and low an behold, I ended up here. Anyway, I read through everything posted here, and saw that there were several people very concerned about the pet store experiences that they had (I believe one was Stella from Cleveland Heights) - so I googled to see if there was a place that would allow you to report the kind of hideous abuse she is talking about - 68 - 250 puppies dead in such a short time - heartbreaking. AND - there is!!! Here's the link: http://www.petstoreabuse.com/cando.html Please take the time to follow the steps to report problem petstores… it is one very strong thing we can do to stop these stores from continuing their horrible practices. No animal anywhere should ever have to suffer that treatment. And please, please - send this link on to your animal-loving friends.
