R/W older girl needing home

Basenji Rescue
  • This is a rescue that I took in last week.
I posted more information about her on the For Sale/Wanted section…
please see that post for more information about her.

She is well-bred, healthy, and bring given up for some stupid reasons.
Lola is very sweet. She has been with me less than a week. I leave her loose in the house while I am at work and she sleeps all day in the sunshine in the front window. She is NOT house desctructive. She would be fine with an older male or alone. She is great with kids of all ages.
She has never lived with cats, so a non-kitty household only.
She is leash- and crate-trained, though she is fine loose in the house all hours. She is also house-broken. She does NOT beg and she loves to eat vegetables.
SHE BAROOS EVERY TIME WE COME HOME (as I leave her loose in the house)!

Contact me at bennyburnerbono at aol dot com for more information on Lola.

  • LOLA went to a new home with one of my male Bs recently.
She also came back Fanconi Clear.

  • Great news about Lola's Fanconi test, and her new home. I love happy endings. Now if I only had room for Buddy…:)

Well I understand it wasn't a good idea to use sarcasm… Robyn has adults she is trying to place, a new litter on the way, and finding homes right now is a hot button. I should have spelled it out not depended on anyone to get it. And I would sure hate someone new here to think I SERIOUSLY think the craigslist dogs are an option over legit rescues and responsible breeders.

My 2 b's raise thier strip when they see a plastic bag in the middle of the road, or something, out of place… I agree its not anywhere near aggressive. More like concerned. IMO

If you can get the full pedigree information, you might want to contact Sally Wallis who maintains the pedigree website. In her personal database she does collect breeder information when available. So she may have at least the names of the breeders and may be able to give them to you.
