Agression towards my 3 year old

Behavioral Issues
  • It's scary with a toddler in the house. Even though Willie has gotten soooo much better, when I recently had little children in the house for a short visit, I kept him on a leash. You just can't watch them 100 percent of the time.

Here's hoping the best for Buster.

@senjisilly said in Got agressive towards my daughter: Very few, if any, veterinary labs run a complete analysis especially for thyroid issues. Lots of very fine reputable places do full panel thyroid.. Wow, I'm afraid that's pretty overwhelming to deal with and like eeeefarm said, no way on earth to do it in a week. However, you do need to begin working on it soon and plan on a very long time to turn this around. Because this dog has shown he will grown and try to bite, your risk of him actually biting, and your legal liability are huge. If you can buy or borrow a secure crate (they aren't cheap) that he can't get out of or hurt himself in, do so. If you can't, do what eeefarm suggested, and make darn sure that leash and collar are totally secure. Once your nephew has left, please get a trainer to start working with your family and this dog on both children and crating. They are very important and it can be overcome.

I spoke to a trainer. and she met with milosh, she said hes fine, not to muzzle him (which i wasn't anyways) and if it occurs again 'time him out' on the leash for 5min. till he calms down. and play with him after hes unleashed-repeatedly he will 'get it' and aside from the obvious that the springer and the owner are recluse at the park , speaks for itself. I wont peruse a solution with them any longer. I already have spoken to the park office and multiple people at the park and a trainer. and also here on the forums(although many don't agree here with my story). Milosh is a pretty healthy socialite and sour apples at the park wont stop us from having a good time.

I can wear Oakley out physically but if I don't work his mind he will still chase his tail! Definitely a point that mental stimulation is very important , and the exercise you do to stimulate the mid will help build trust as well so that's just a bonus!

I guess we did primative puzzle challenges with Jodi. We would play hide-and-seek, make him figure out which hand had the biscuit, or hide a biscuit in a pile of blankets. Or we would tell him get the ________", birdie, hammyster, kittycat, ect and he would run through the house to each room where the animal lived or stare outside at the fence for the cat or squirrel.
