Basenji Rescue
  • This beautiful female basenji mix was picked up as a stray in NE Georgia and is only given a 7 day stray hold. She is down to 6 days left. Transport can be arranged to get her to you. Please consider adopting and/or fostering her through a rescue to save this little one. Here is what the volunteer who visited animal control said about her "Beautiful Layla is a 1-year old female Basenji-mix who weighs 28 lb. She had just been brought in by AC so was scared but ended up leaning up against me. She does not do well with cats and we are awaiting the results of her dog-test. She came in with a sprained left front paw which is being treated. HER TIME IS UP 1/22!!!" Here are the rest of the details: CONTACT ferretfarm56@gmail.com if you want to adopt/rescue for this animal. Fee is $110 dogs ($138 if using commercial transport due to certificates required)/$115 cat (includes combo-test). Located in Commerce, GA, 1 hour N of Atl., GA. As of this moment, she has $45 in pledge for a rescue.

There are FREE transport options available on Facebook. A volunteer transport page is set up for every state in the Unites States. Georgia Transport, Alabama Transport, etc… Volunteers sign up to drive hour or so legs to get dogs and cats where they need to go. We can get this girl saved if someone would love to have her.

We shall see just how much hekp this little guy really gets from this forum. I called and found out that he was a puppy back 04 when he was adopted from Wayside Waifs and now family has a baby why no longer want him. She said the boy sometimes gets like to be a little stronger over other dogs. I do not care what people think of me or were Jaycee came from it's not me needing help its the the little guy. Actions have always been stronger than words. Gald to see Otis is well and happy. Rita Jean

Its very hard not to be judgemental, but when I deal with folks rehoming their dogs, I do try to be kind. At least until I get the dog out of the home. Then I vent to my dog rescue friends. Sometimes, you just have to.
