I am not sure if this girl is still available as she is at risk! She is a cutie and she weighs 18 lbs. and is HW negative. She was spayed on 10/16. She was a stray and picked up in Gastonia on 10/4 and is listed as shy but on Facebook she is listed as playful and sweet. She is at the Gaston County North Carolina Animal Shelter in Dallas, NC which is 25 miles from Charlotte. Her tag number is 5610. Here is the contact info:

If I could get her here I'd take her. Looks like she's got a bit more fur than your average Basenji, that would do her well around here about now!

Supposedly this girl is being picked up today as today was her last day! It is sad that they would spay her but kill her anyway-what nonsense. I asked on Facebook if she was up for adoption and if so which rescue so I hope I get a reply. Some Bs can be furry if they have been kept outside but I do think this girl is a mix.

Jennifer, I thought the same thing…it's so ridiculous to put money into spaying only to euthanize her! Perhaps if the policy was to put the animals up for adoption (and if its a kill shelter- put them up for adoption for however long they do), and then if adopted..spay before they go home..they'd save enough money to maybe keep the animals longer

If she is a purebred, really poorly bred
