    Not to be the one always talking about toxins and dog food or anything but this link below takes you to a site with a listing of all the pet foods involved in the Mars Pet Food recall. Apparently, a PN plant somehow had gotten a rare strain of Samonella in the dry dog/cat food and humans were getting sick from it. The CDC reported that 79 people had been affected.

    This doesn't effect me because Beegin's food isn't on this list, but in case it may effect others, I just wanted to let people know.

    Yes, I work for the Post office and its across the whole US. So, help someone in need..stuff your mailbox on sat, or if you have a small or locked box, you can put a bag on the ground, or leave a note for the carrier to come to the house. Its a good thing.

    Visits are a great idea. In the past year I have been staying at my familys farm wich has plenty of room but I added another dog and my Mother got another dog for a total of 4. Not bad since two are tiny ones, lol. But it took a bit to learn to b a good pack. I am not sure how cats mix with the dogs but I'm sure visits won't hurt any. Good Luck :)

    When my middle son and wife come to visit - they bring their 2 labs. I let the labs be loose in the house and kennel my basenjis - can't imagine the basenji 500 with 2 huge labs in a small house. As folks get older though the dogs can be an issue so don't know how much longer I'll be able to let them come. This Thanksgiving - 2 labs and 2 mature ladies with walkers was interesting. However when we would go and visit my husbands family - could never bring dogs - they refused to have dogs in the house - ever. I agree with whoever said - their house their rules.
