Mother daughter basenjis need home

Basenji Rescue
  • A basenji owner in MN has died and her 2 remaining basenjis need to be rehomed. They get along great together but have ONLY been with their owner. I am not certain if both have been neutered but I know that one has.

I doubt if any of you remember her but her and her husband were the owner of Sonbar's FourFlusher (Gambler). Husband died several years ago and these are the only 2 dogs left.

if you are interested you can go to the SONBAR basenji website as Sally will be coordinating their placement.

If you have difficulty you can also email me and I will be happy to assist.

June, Gypsy has been mentioned in the Breed notes in one of the UK dog papers, so hopefully you may get a response thorugh that. I don't recall how she came to be in Rescue. There can't be many Basenjis in Cyprus. Have you been able to discover her breeding?

@sharronhurlbut: Yes, Fran, I agree. There is a special place in hell for folks who use dogs and those who love them, to get $$$. BUT they are out there. I hope this is a kind person with a love for his basenji. I agree but I don't think it is one of those since the guy is willing to pay the fees to get the dog to the adopter. I also think I saw something in the BRAT emails about this dog. I know peoples emails have been hacked before but Liz does post here occasionally.
