    May 17, 2008 BCONC Spring Specialty Show, Solano County Fair Grounds, Vallejo, Ca - evening event, should begin around 6pm.

    May 31, 2008 - BCONC Basenji only Lure Trial, All breed JC test, BCONC annual Puppy Match, General Membership meeting (all welcome, members or not) and fun puppy play time.

    June 1, 2008 BCONC All Breed JC Test and Lure Trial

    Both events at Robertson Park in Livermore

    That's a fantastic idea. Here is the schedule: https://www.basenjinationalspecialty.com/schedule/ For a spectator I think agility is hands down the most interesting. Unfortunately it's on the weekend so perhaps not the best for meeting breeders (if you care). This also doesn't seem to be Basenji only, so if you want to see Basenjis then probably not the best. Lure coursing can be fun and there is a lure seminar on Monday. So Monday for that and Tuesday for Puppy and Veteran Sweepstakes?

    Yes, I agree with you Patty, they are not just for Judges. When I did my Confirmation and Movement Seminar I found it really interesting on how various breeds moved and how they fitted in with the function for which they were originally intended. Funnily enough one of the dogs that was helping with the talk was a Basenji !!!! unfortunately I didn't get to over over her for my hands on !!! lol My OH went on his Breed Specific the other day ( Dobes ), and had a brilliant day. You never stop learning, and the day you say you have, you should give up lol !!!!!!

    Good job to all the workers and planners - these things don't go on by magic but lots of hard work. I wish I could've been there but as we all know "life is what happens when we're making other plans."     It was a great trial… One of my girls (who lives with Ann Patterson-Hine) is a new Dual Champion with back to back 5pt majors from this weekend.... YEA!!!! She is now DC* Tanza's Almazi Madini,SC,RN,CD,CGC,FCH (aka Crystal). Thanks to her Mom, Ann for putting on the Obedience Titles!!!! And she is loving her new baby B Brother.... Kobey..... Crystal is 6 1/2... and we have been trying to get her lure majors for quite a while... Crystal, while a good runner would beat herself by running the course before it ever started... LOL...
