• Cali tries to bury her bones in different places:) She will place them somewhere out in the open as if it is really hidden. Sometimes she hides her bones and I cant find them, but she always knows where they are. I will tell her to go and get her bone and she only does it if she wants to. It is as if she wants me to try and see if I can find it. After I give up she will go and get her bone a few minutes later and bring it to me. She puts her bone on my lap like she wants to share:D She also likes shredding cardboard, toilet paper rolls, fabric, plastic and just about anything. I constantly keep toys around to give her in place of the object that she is not suppose to have in her mouth. The other day she has some pieces of string and plastic from a toy that passed through her system and was visible in her poop. I constantly have to keep a close eye on her or I will be cleaning up the mess she makes from shredding things everyday.:)

  • Abbey's specialty is the newspaper, especially if she knows I'm not done with it and just went to pour another cup of coffee. She goes right for the section I'm still reading and rips the corners off. All my magazines are missing the corners. She also loves to get the plastic bag the paper comes in and I let her tear it up, congratulate her on a job well done, then pick up all the little chunks of plastic. She also likes to chew the noses off all her babies. She usually throws up if she's eaten things like her hedgehog nose.

  • That's funny. My girl won't actually chew up plastic bags, she swoops them up with her nose and throws them around in the air. It's pretty funnt but it doesn't keep her attention for too long.

In the mornings before work, I gather a few of her toys and put them in her crate. She likes to play a game with morning crate time called 'how long will it take mommy to get me in there'. While I'm getting her a treat she first, runs in there grabs a toy real quick and pulls it out. Then she'll wait for me to get a little closer and will dart to the bedroom jump up on the bed and get down like she's going to pounce (her little tail is wagging the whole time) and then runs past me to her crate. She's probably do this for hours if I let her but unfortunately for her she only gets one time 'round.

  • Mine does that when we're getting ready to go out. She has to circle the room 3 times about 90 miles an hour before she'll come to the door to get leashed up. It's almost like some kind of obsessive compulsive behaviour. It has to be 3 times around. The only command she'll ever obey every time is Crate Abbey. She goes right to it right away. I can't take credit for that, her grandma taught her to do it.

  • That's so funny. I only wish she would go in there when I told her to. I have to get her close enough to the crate that she can see me drop the piece of cheese in and then she'll go in. I think she's training me more than I'm training her.:p

  • Gipper is definitely one of the ones with an iron stomach. He likes to chew the the old shirts, towels, and beds that I give him to sleep on. I don't know why any animal would want to tear up their own bed, but he does. He throws up some, but usually he passes everything. Most of the shirts and towles I use in his kennel have holes in them where he's chewed a piece out of it and eaten it.

  • I always thought Joey didn't swallow anything but his food. This morning I could tell Joey was not himself. I watched him closely and he started to shake, then burp, then gag and proceed to vomit. OMG! I was shocked to see a whole tampon (sorry guys) in the goop! Imagine if he had passed that one!!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaagh!

  • Yesterday my son gave Joey a black tape ball to play with. Of course, Joey picked the thing apart bit by bit. He was very perplexed though as most of the little bits got stuck all over him. He looked like a B dressed up for Halloween as a dalmation!

  • Duke loves to eat crayons. Whenever son doesn't clean up after himself, Duke does it for him. The next day is when know what colors are missing from the crayon box.

  • All these posts are hysterical…I am crying laughing about the tampon! We had that happen before too, except [[I]stop reading here if you are squeamish]she passed it and the string was stuck! I had to pull it out of her - gross!
I love the crayons, Jill! Thank you for the laughs everyone, you've made me smile…
