They are absolutely adorable to live with! People warned us when we got our first pup (we have mature two sisters now) but we fell in love with the breed and have no regrets. You have to be patient, though, with lots of humour, because they WILL test you.

I'm based in Alberta, and have been searching for a Basenji for some time now. I am wondering if anyone who breeds Basenjis on this site is currently looking to place any of their animals. I know most people understandably disagree with shipping, so I am willing to travel.

I just recently flew a dog from Texas to Toronto, A plane ticket for $220.00 bought the dog climate controlled in cabin flight, and the adoption was a success.
