• sorry if this is in the wrong category, but i couldnt think where to put it - i had originally been looking at arranging a trip from the UK to the World Show in Paris with dogs but have had to shelve that idea - however for anyone wanting to go to it without dogs, the following has been forwarded to me by Irene Horner:

Lisa Pettit is organising a trip to the above show from 8th - 11th July, cost ?199 to include coach, ferry and three nights accommodation five minutes from the show. No dogs, only people, show entry fee not included. Departing from Colchester on the Friday, returning on the Monday. Saturday 9th is Pastoral day, and Sunday can either be free day sightseeing or you can visit the show again. Deposit of ?40 needed by 16th October, 30 people needed to make it viable.

Contact Lisa at lakebank.lisa@ntlworld.com for full details.

  • Aren't you going at all Scott? Are there any forum members planning to go? For me the timing is great (summer holiday.. Looking forward to it already…) and A'dam - Paris is very doable by train + dogs are allowed in the Thalys 🙂 So maybe it's a good idea to start looking for a hotel already... And someone to go with..

  • i was planning on going Janneke, but my dog sitter (mum) will be away on holiday at that time and i wouldnt have anyone to look after the rest of the dogs and cats. with two fifteen year old siamese cats and an 11 yr old dobermann amongst them, i wouldnt want to put them in boarding kennels/catteries.

Am coming over to the Amsterdam Winners show in November (not showing though) and will be going to as many of the breed specialities as i can next year - hopefully showing as well!

  • Thats a shame that its no dogs 😞

We're planning to maybe take the chi over, but i forgot to get Maya's passport started so she wont be going!

  • I'm hoping to go (dogless) but this trip would appear to exclude Group 5 day.

  • This trip is being arranged around Herding Day on the saturday as Lisa is Shelties / Rough Collies, I don't know what is on the sunday. I have been asked if I would like to go but really need the Group 5 or 2 day We seriously thought about going over on Group 2 day to show but have since decided to let Tico's passport lapse. It's an easy journey and we were thinking of going and doing a quick turn around as spectators. Still thinking about it !!!!
