  • LOVE the registered name. I'll take a guess on his call name - Tiger? ;)

  • @saba:

Well thanks guys for all the info…

snorky998, after reading your post, Im beginning to like the name Grub now :p:p:p

agilebasenji, how sad to call your own child that name... I cant deal with the name for a dog, I certainly couldnt deal with that name for my child ...

The rest of you are absolutely NO help at all !!! All I can say, is thank Dog Mr Saba doesnt read the B Forum, or Id lose out entirely :D...

I have just found out that his registered name will be.....................Wait for it........................Lanbart Drinks Swears N Lies, so….............................looks like we have a name for him now..........Can anyone guess what it might be ????????????????????????????????????????? Its really obvious, I think...............................................

I don't know Saba, drinks swears n lies. Sounds like 99% of the population in Australia :D How about Sir Les Patterson :p

Funny, very funny Forexjohnny, and sooooooooooooooooooo true, but sorry its not Sir Les Patterson :D

    REMEMBER, its food related…...........................................

  • Completely OT, sorry to the OP…......................................................Oh thats right thats MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :p:p

Forexjohnny did you find yourself a B ??? Did you meet Davina ???

  • Hmmm…my next guess is Foster?

  • Yes I did meet Davina. I spent a few hours with her and her "kids". They are all great dogs who took it in turns to make themselves comfortable on me while I talked to her. She had not set her breeding program then and by the time the puppies had arrived I had some changes in my life that has caused me to put on hold getting a puppie. It is only a temporary thing though, I do miss having a B in my life. :)

  • Ok I will spill the beans…

I think we will be calling him Ramsey, after Gordon Ramsey, of course :p:p

    Only 5 more sleeps...

  • Ramsey….the pommie git. Can't you find some Aussie git instead :p
Let's see what the little monster looks like first, I mean well he may look like Sir Les with all them good manners and looks.

Seriously good luck and I hope everything works out for you. I cry every time I look at my girl's puppie photo's where she is sitting in the palm of my hand. B puppies are the best. :D

    Ha, ha, ha…love the name!

  • I love the name Ramsey..or Ramses, both really cute..will we get pictures as soon as you get him?

  • What about 'chow' as in chow down? Or you could go to a particular food item - like beans.

These little fatties are doing sooooooo well. Im used to ACD babies losing weight in the first couple of days, then gaining, doubling their weight around day 10ish… Not with these guys, no weight loss, all have doubled their weight by day 6 ... Mumma Crystal doesnt even look like she has a lot of milk at all, clearly what she does have is pretty damn good though !!! Its interesting that for this litter I didnt feed Crystal puppy food at all during her pregnancy, as I have done for all my previous litters, and the pups were good weights at birth, and are now gaining so well ;)... Certainly food for thought, (pardon the pun :D)...

@Kipawa: Sounds like you will be really busy later this summer/fall. I have seen pictures of the boats that people live on in the Netherlands - it looks like quite an interesting lifestyle. I assume your basenjis are fine with it. Good luck in finding your special cat. :) There are two types of living on a boat :) People that live on a boat that can't sail anymore. (they put it in a harbor and live there) We live on a ship (we can't call it a boat  ) that sails every day. We load our ship with material (like corn or coils of steel) and sail untill we are at the place to unload. We load the same weight that 40/45 trucks can load ;) It's a weird lifestyle, every night we walk the doggies on a different spot and every day they meet new dogs and people.. And we are always at home with them.. that's a great thing!

She is hear as so basenji like in her play - I've only introduced her to 1 of my males and they are getting along fine. I however have a nasty cold so I'm mostly sleeping and she is having to be in a pen unless I can watch her. She also has the beginnings of a UTI so she is piddling everywhere - which has not been fun so her movement in my house is a bit restricted until we get a handle on it.

Hey my Basenji boy Gibby is startled everytime he sees a mirror. I really think sometimes he has no idea what he looks like as he sees more humans than other dogs! Lord knows somedays I am sure I will look over and see him walking across the room on the 2 hind legs as he so curious about things above him…I do know that is one handsome Grandson and CONGRATS!
