These are really things you should be talking to the breeder about….. And if the sire was an import, could be as already noted just take time for the ears to stay up, or they might never.... same with the tail...

Note also, it is not uncommon when they start to loose the baby teeth that the ears don't stand up....

our garden is loaded with fieldmouses at the moment…. my B's do not care very much but my Ibizan hounds snack them all the time, sometimes they bring one inside for me to have, as a present, and they look quite offended when they notice I throw their delicious present in the garbage can ....

… had it gone, turkey/bacon and cheese. it seems he was not fond of the bread. we just laughed and laughed. silly boy.. and now we will not put leftover sandwiches on the counter.. (not). we will try anyway.

Katie does that too! She almost never chooses to eat the bread, where Petey will eat the bread.

So far my gate is still working. We don't ever step over the top though, I'm hoping Moses doesn't try to go over the top if he doesn't see us do it? He does try and throw his weight at the area thats latched to break thru 🙂 Lets hope he does figure it out, he's still just a puppy.

Ya - I'm relatively new to basenjis too, but I'd learned real quick that the only things we can leave lay are the toys. My 2 coffee tables have scratches all over them & since we've brought our boy home, I've found a hole in my curtain, holes in my couch pillow, teething marks on my dining room chairs…I never knew how good my girl actually was until our little fella decided to show her up...
