    Pat, I will email it to you separately. Apparently, it just wants to save is as a picture and when I reduce it, it goes all blurry. If anyone else would like it, email me to shadow_brat2004@yahoo.ca This is just on more thing on my list of why not to stop strip testing.

    How are UTI's caused?

    Anytime I have a dog that has a UTI, I add extra water to their food. I also give Cranberry pills. I sometimes give Vitamin C but that is based on the ph level of the urine and the recommendation of the vet. My dogs rarely have crystals but perhaps I catch the UTIs early. It seems like rescues I get from shelters almost always have UTIs. I think they get it from either holding it too long because they do not want to get their kennel dirty or because they eat dry food and drink water separately. Jennifer

    @etzbseder: Luckily i haven't gotten to the point of multiple pills daily, but to give Medjai pills, I have found that the best option is tell him to open and hold his mouth open as I lob the pill to the back of his throat and hold his mouth shut. He just swallows it and is ready to continue about his day. Problem with that is that she has to give 8 to 10 pills twice a day… lots different then one or two... and this is every day 2x a day.. and the BiCarbs are the hardest...

    We checked the OFA site, and spoke with Liz who forwarded us to John Kirby. The test may have failed & they might be re-running it. John said he would call us if we needed to retest, so hurry up & wait some more!

    I'm sorry to hear Tayda has fanconi..but glad you caught it early and she's taking her pills like a good girl.
