@sharronhurlbut: Nemo, BRAT will take him, but lets see if the owner will turn him over to BRAT first. Bless your heart for the offer. He's not asking for much, so hopefully there is a good chance of that. I think he just wants the dog off his hands.

@Rocky1: Don't worry anyone,Dogs are coming home to me here at Jaroufa Hounds. Richard always knew that he could bring dogs back and his son finally found me. Anubis and Anuket will stay with me until a home is found or I will keep them . Kathryn Are they still available? How old are they? We presently have a 20 month old r/w well behaved basenji that we are thinking about getting a playmate for. Brindle is prefered but will consider another r/w or Tri from as young as a puppy to 2 years old male. Thank you Ruben

I posted a new thread re 2 of these b's who are having issues in their foster home and need help. I will share it with you all. 2- 3 yr old b's need fosters/homes, from pm bust –------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is a pair of the b's who were taken from the puppymill that closed. We really need a smart basenji home to foster and or adopt. Sharron I imagine they will be open to be moved to any near by states. Wilma (brindle) and Wanda (red and white), both three years old and from the SD group, are currently being fostered in central LA. They are very afraid of men and not doing well in their current foster home. If anyone in the southern states, TN or AR would be willing and able to foster them both together, please notify me. I would like to place them in a foster-to-adopt home if available. If you do not live in the area listed but can help with transportation to your location I will consider moving them out of the area. If you are traveling through LA and would not mind a couple furry passengers, let me know. They ride well in crates. @ChaseandZahrasmom: I just have to comment on what a beautiful website this is! Yeah - the folks in this group are wonderful and supportive for the Basenji breed. We adopted Daisy from them. Did anyone see how beautiful the B's are? They still need homes.

Imo, the difference between a nip and a bite is if the skin is broken and they draw blood. Puppies and some uneducated adult dogs nip…its not something anyone wants, but imo it can be corrected. A bite, a totally diffent issue and something that should be eval. on a case by case event.
