You have an interesting mix there, if he is a Basenji/Pit Bull mix. One has the wilfull nature, and the tenacity of the other. I would feed him, if he asked me. He may be listed as a "dangerous dog" so get him used to a muzzle when out walking. Preventing any incident is better than dealing with any consequences.

Hello to all Basenji lovers !
I ordered a puppy with one of the few breeders in Belgium and hope to welcome it in our family (with 4 Agapornis Love Birds flying freely around ;-))by the end of this year.
Great forum!

Hello !
Via Alain Alaerts from Antwerp who works together with the kennel "Du Vieux Bry" in Thiméon (Charleroi) I managed to make a reservation for a male puppy (fall 2008). I live near the border of our two countries (Hoogstraten) and will attend the dog nursery school in Baarle-Hertog as soon as the pup is ready for it. Hope to stay in contact ! Greetz -

GreetzI only know them from name. Make sure both sire and dam are tested for Fanconi (and of course eyes, hips). If this breeder doesn't test, I 'know' a breeder in Belgium who does.
Good luck with waiting for your pup! I know how hard that is… I decided to get a basenji spring 2007 and got it four weeks ago.. It was definitly worth the wait though!
