I tried to start a topic but it didn't go through.
Anyone in louisiana with a Basenji?
I saw on the BRAT website that there's THE cutest little tri-boy being fostered in DC. Does anyone know who this is? We've got to meet up. Paxton is just too cute!! OMG!!
The District Coord is William Key for that area. Go to the www.basenjirescue.org website to inquire about him. Good luck and oh yeah–Paxton is cute!
Oh yes, I've already sent an email! Just wanted to see if the foster dad was on this forum! Thanks!!
Uh Oh…is someone adding a beloved Tri to her pack
Adding a tri to the pack? He is adorable. If you need any more help please let me know.
My friend in Philly tried to get him but she was passed over because of some specific things they were looking for for him in order to give him the BEST possible home… I hope it works out because my friend would have been the bestest dog owner in the world, right behind all of us, of course.
I WISH I could add him to our pack!! But we live in an apartment and I think we're probably maxed out right now. But he is SO cute! And I'm fixed on tri's at the moment! I'd love to at least have a meet up/play date with the little guy!!
I'm doing a home visit tomorrow for someone in consideration for Paxton. I read Paxton's adoption page, he seems very sweet.
OH!! NO fair!!
If it works out for the applicant we will have to have a Hampton Roads Basenji group road trip up for the Reston Pet fair this year! The more the merrier!
I emailed with the coordinator for DC. He won't give out foster parent's details for security reasons. However, he did say that there is a group of them that hang out in Logan Circle in DC quite often - all B owners or foster parents. He also told me that they sometimes coordinate a meet at he dog park in DC. Invited me to come.
The coordinator for DC is William Key. If anyone is interested in contacting him, let me know. BRAT doesn't have it on their site, so I best not throw it around here. At any rate, he said that Paxton got a ton of applications. He hasn't had a lot of time to go through them because he's been focusing on Buster. Additionally, the foster is starting to grow attached to Paxton and I presume that if the foster adopts him, that would be ideal.
Looks like the coordinator's suspicions were correct. Paxton is off the BRAT list! I guess the foster fell in love with him. YAY! Another B saved!
Awww… bitter sweet!
William told me that he was going to talk to my applicant first, he wanted to place Paxton with him but told me that Paxton was doing really well with another dog at the Foster home that he wanted to talk to my applicant. Either way I am happy to know that he found a good home and I hope that if the applicant that I did a home visit for did not get him that they don't get discouraged, I hope that another perfect dog will come their way.
Paxton is coming to Virginia Beach! I am so excited!!!!! Another B in the area for us to play with that makes a total of 1 unless you include Youngandtired in North Carolina which would make it two!
Is that where his foster is??
No, the applicant I did the home visit for. I got an e-mail from them yesterday that said they are picking him up in D.C. on Saturday.
It is going to be so cool to have another Basenji close by. I have only really seen two that go lure coursing and one at the dog park one time.
Well the CUTEST basenji you all are talking about would our dog Paxton. He is the best dog in the world and we love him. He is very energetic and seems to love my boyfriend and I very much. He is one spoiled dog though, we run him twice a day and buy him whatever he seems to sniff at the pet store. It is funny to see that are little Paxton is a famous baensji in this forum but he is in a loving home and we couldnt be more thrilled to have him in our lives.
OH! You guys are so lucky!! I was totally eyeing him on BRAT!! Post pics! I miss seeing his sweet little face!
