A fine looking Basenji!

What a beautiful picture of all three of you! It's nice to put the pretty face with the pretty dog!
BB – what a guy! -
We have two of the black and white basenji stuffies, because our son, Ethan, REALLY wanted our first one, to be his, and his alone He calls it Ivy (even though she is a tri). So for Christmas, Santa brought him his own Ivy….(we call her Ivy Oreo, to make it clear which one we are talking about!)
We totally doused Ivy Oreo with Bitter Apple, and reapply frequently, because are dogs are convinced she is a really strange puppy that needs to be seriously investigated. But mostly she stays in his room, safe from dogs

They are very well done. The brindles should be coming soon!

AWWWWWW Is this a Valentine present to Arti from Willy  I'm really loving this BForum love affair  LOL!! How sweet
I wonder if we should have a Love Match thread here to see if there are more single B's looking for an internet love

Awww…I'd love to see a picture of it it but as adorable as they are, I could open a stuffed animal store!!
And BB -- I don't have to spread it around -- it's already out there..."special dogs, special people!":D

Just spread all those stuffed toys around Nala, leave her alone with them for an hour….....you'll be ready to expand your collection again.:D
I knew the dogs where special, through this forum I've learned how special the people are that are slaves to them.:)

That took a lot of arm twisting.

You know I'm a sucker for a puppy…this one won't snark (a new word learned here) at me! I actually ordered 3 tri puppies...one for each of mine and one for my niece.

Funny it's a new word for me as well…...learned it here!
B500 is another new term for me.:DI've learned lot's O stuff here, I really have....it's great and it would've been great to have a resource like this the day we picked up our first B.
-
Hmmm…a basenji dictionary...all new words: snark, B500...I'm sure someone will start a thread...not me, though. Yes, Nala might behave herself if I had this resource when I got her. BTW, when did you pick up your first Basenji?
-
Thanks, I can't wait for the brindles.
Me TOO!!

So, I've had a basenji longer than you? That can't be possible! Although I am a bit more insane than you (I blame Nala) LOL!;)
Seriously, I thought you'd had them for decades!!! -

Seriously, I thought you'd had them for decades!!!It was my Son's idea, so I can't even take credit for that.
German shorthair prior to Basenji's, they're a little nuts too.
Can't forget the ankle nippers, a couple of them.
Chow mix that looked like a devil dog….all black and yellow eyes.
There's been at least one dog in our house for the last 30 years and a few cats from time to time.....................reptiles, fish, birds. We even owned a horse at one time.
They call me Dr. Dolittle at work. -
…and for good reason! We've had horses since I was 4 and then became allergic. My father is a "Bayonne (NJ) cowboy". My sister breeds horses in southern VT...she's got a paint stud colt foaled May 1, 2006 and his paint dad, mom (QH), a paint mare and also a black and white paint large pony -- all for sale if you'd like another!!
We've had growing up: a beagle, lab, siberian husky, shih tzu and finally - Nala!! After becoming allergic I had hampster, gerbil, newts, salamanders...
I hope my kids don't get into that!! Although Natalie is showing signs...she can't wait for spring/summer when those red efts start showing up in the mud! -

Jersey huh? I was born up in that neck of the woods.
We had an arabian horse, born on the 4th of July in 1976…....we called her Liberty! Horses are too expensive to keep for us!
