Funny enough, my guy is from a breeder in Pembroke - just down the road from Ottawa! They've had litters on and off over the years, but I'm not sure whether they're active at the moment (last I heard, one of the moms was in a "false heat" and they might try again with her in the summer). In any event, it's easiest to politely contact whatever active breeders you can find in Ont/QC, and I find they're very nice and often able to refer you to others should their bookings be full. That's how I did it. Best of luck!!
Looking for a pup
Can anyone point me in the direction of a basenji pup in the UK - im starting to think they dont exist
There is a whole world out there. Expand your search.
We lived in Hawaii and had a hard time finding our Koa. We found him in N.Z. !!! Cost was $2,000 but most of it was air fare. He was worth every penney.

@gooberdoofer They don't - not at this time of year ! Basenji bitches come in season in autumn and whelp late November / December. You could perhaps get onto a waiting list for next year - pups will be ready about March. But lists are overflowing with people disappointed this last Spring. Email me privately. Address is on websites in signature block.

It Took Me 1.5 years of looking and talking to breeders before I was able to get on the waiting list in time to get a pup. You have to start preparing and talking to breeders in the early fall in order to get on the reservation list for a puppy by next spring
