• I would think that eating the stuffing, button eyes, etc. could not be good for their digestive system. One of my first b's ate a naturel sponge, and it clogged up the plumbing and required surgery to remove. So from that time on, I removed any toy with rips, tears, etc.

    It doesn't hurt to have a 'new' toy in reserve to offer when removing a damaged one. Works for me.


  • Most of the toys made FOR dogs don't have button eyes; and most dogs don't actually eat the stuffing. But if it is a concern for you, simply pick up the stuffing as they gut the critters and toss it.
    Mine enjoy the flattened critters almost as much as the stuffed ones. These are the ones they'll play tug-of-war with.
