June, Gypsy has been mentioned in the Breed notes in one of the UK dog papers, so hopefully you may get a response thorugh that. I don't recall how she came to be in Rescue. There can't be many Basenjis in Cyprus. Have you been able to discover her breeding?
The thing with multi-generational mutts is that they tend toward the dog "default" which is the same look that you see in many street dogs and pariah dog, medium size, prick ears, and often tan coloring. Since basenjis are a primitive dog they share these characteristics.
Another update…we dropped off the boys at Sal's house this past Saturday. It was sad but it looks like a great environment for them to be in. We were lucky enough to meet a couple there that was planning to foster them for the near future. Thanks again for helping me find Sal.
