NC-Columbus-Brindle Male Basenji Mix-In Shelter

    This 3 year old boy is listed as a Cattle Dog/Basenji mix. He is a gorgeous dark brindle and weighs 35 lbs. but he looks like he needs to lose some weight. He could possibly pass as PB. He has a partially curled tail over his back. The shelter is located halfway between Asheville, NC-40 miles away to the South and Spartanburg, SC-30 miles away to the North. It is also 40 miles away from Greenville, SC and 80 miles away from Charlotte, NC.

    I have not contacted the shelter to see if he is still available.

    I'm sure this has already been forwarded to basenjirescue.org but I sent it again just in case as well as posted this on their Facebook page. Hopefully someone can help this guy out. I can help with transport if needed. :-)

    I guess for some people he is too large for a Chi and not quite a Basenji-too small as he weighs 15 lbs. He is estimated to be 5 years old. If you know someone who might be interested in him or a rescue group that could take him, please forward the information. He is a male, Chihuahua / Basenji Mix. He has been at the Van Nuys shelter since OCTOBER 15, 2011. Because "CODY" has been at the shelter so long he is running out of time. Due to the shelter running over capacity he will be euthanized soon if he does not get adopted. Please if you are looking for a dog consider adopting "CODY" and giving him a second chance.
