@krunzer: Wow how did you train him to do that? Mine still try to fight me every time. I just tip them on their backs while in a comfy chair and fight with them to get their feet to stay still. Good job on the falling asleep bit! Thanks! lol. The funny thing is I never trained him to do it lol. He's just always been pretty laid back about me poking, prodding, trimming and such. I guess its just his personality. Ill get a video clip sometime if I can lol.

Oakley will pee in the middle of the road or anywhere really but pooping is a whole different story…walking is the only way and he seems to do it in the same spots on our walks.. If the wind so much as sways it will deter him... In the cold he just flat out refuses to go! It is a basenji thing

Wouldn't go near it! Particularly as he advocates and sells his version of a prong collar - an adversive way to prevent a dog from pulling - and not very successful at that. Try using methods that have actually been proven - scientifically and not by marketing spiel! Great website for finding info is www.dogstardaily.com loads of free stuff to read and watch too. Basically there are no short cuts, good training and manners take time, but if you learn to enjoy the process rather than focus on the results you enjoy and treasure you spend with your B learning together and then the finished behaviour/trick/exercise is just the icing on the cake.

In our house there is one way to get back inside… Now before you say thats unfair, we don't have a yard so human and basenji have to stand out in the rain until Indy does what he needs to do. It will only take one or two times to make the point. Plus no potty in the house
