RE: A break from all the snowing…
 I would be scared seeing Bendji eating something that someone else left there and of which I'm not sure what's in it …
What if a "doghater" has put some ratpoison in it ????
I sure hope all Norwegians are doglovers !!!!
Great pictures ! Greetings from BelgiumDon't think that is big issue up here to be honest. Never heard of anything like it. We drink water from the streams, breethe fresh air and if our dogs a lucky enough to find a hotdog, miles away from most people, I'm happy to give it to him. You should come and visit sometime

A break from all the snowing…
Kasper is a pretty active Basenji and since we live in Norway, he is quite used to the cold. One of his favourite things to do is coming with me cross country skiing.
But with all this running, he gets hungry. Look at the Hot Dog on the stick on the left side of the picture below. Someone forgot it there and the B has already seen it
Got it…
Nice to snuggle…
And have a overlook over things..

RE: Cold weather exercise
This is how we do it when it's cold and, for most of the time, dark outside.
Get up early…and go skiing
Then go home, kill something..
cheers

Favourite spot and salmon watching
As we are every autumn, last week we were back home (were I grew up) watching salmon. And this time Kasper came with us. He did see a lot of them and found it a bit scary. Some of the "monsters" are bigger then our little basenji, and he isn't the really the bravest guy around. Well, anyway, here are some pictures…
Home at last…
Favourite spot. Watching the street…

RE: A couple of pictures from this summer…
I have a brindle of similar color (on one side), but that tail curl has me beat. Handsome man!!
I had to LOL. The first pic made me think your B was on a mini golf course. Do you have them there?
Great pics, thanks for sharing.
He he, no it's not at a mini golf course. It's outside our summer/vinter-house and the thing he is standing on is a canoe. Like this one…
He's not really sure if he likes it or not, but as long as it is windy, he seems to enjoy being on the water.

What are you doing?
Let me see…
Sand…yahoo!

RE: Introducing…
Zip resigns to being a pillow. She didn't even snark at him for this. Amazing.
Ha ha ha, what a fantastic picture!

RE: Hello from Denver
Oh, and he has the most OBNOXIOUS case of doggy dandruff which is making my eyes itch and sinuses stuffy (even though I did a test where I spent 2 hours in a house with 4 Basenji's playing on the carpet and rubbing a towel all over them which I then slept with under my head overnight without ANY REACTION WHATSOEVER!!!) Seriously, I thought I had seen some impressive snow here in Denver, but it's nothing compared to Tiger, I'm actually thinking of renting him out to Vail or Winter Park so they can keep the slopes open over the summer - let the bidding begin. Anyhoo… I'll be looking through the forums for suggestions on these issues (and many more to come) and will be making posts in the near future. THANKS FOR BEING HERE!!! Dander or not, Basenji's totally rule!
Hi and welcome! Great choise of dog. As everyone that owns a basenji knows, they are quite special. Mine too doesn't get along with other dogs that he doesn't know. Absolutely normal for a B
About the dandruff, try to give him a spoon of olive oil or something in his food. That might help…

RE: Mirtillo 'rides' a bicycle
When Mirtillo is a year old I will have him running beside me. (when it's not too hot) I think I will buy something like this:
Love those pictures
I've been to Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Surprised to see how many of you that actually was cycling….but it is kind of flat, so you don't have the same challenges as us up here :p
By the way, Kasper and I use a springer. It works fine. Just have to take it a bit easy when you pass other people or dogs. But he really likes it and runs like the wind...
Not that easy to see, but he is running beside the bike
In the winter, we just have to do other stuff …

RE: Yodels/Baroo….
I know that Senji baroos a lot more when there is a full moon. Sometimes my dad and brother can get him to start barooing if they make howling noises. It never works when I try to get him to howl. It must be a guy thing.
Wow, how funny! Full moon and more baroos, must check that out.

RE: Greetings from Norway
Hi! I love your brindle!! Such a nice colour. Who is his breeder? Do they have a website? Maybe we meet some day. Sweden is not so far away..
