    Greetings from eastern North Carolina… My name is Brandon and I've been involved with BRAT for about 5 or 6 years now. I have had 2 basenjis, Jazzineah and Mr. Tazz, as well as a foster, Buddy... I'm currently a full time student, having returned to college to finish my degree after a 15 year hiatus... I'm working on making my new place more basenji friendly so that I can get back into fostering and hopefully have a clan to call my own again... :)

    @sharronhurlbut: How is your dog settling in? Any issues? He's doing well but we've had some problems with biting (normal) and his loose stool but I've started transitioning him to the Orijen dry food.

    Thanks, I will pickup some SAM-E at the store today, I had no idea what dose! I hope Pete has a comfortable time with you, you are doing everything to keep him happy. My friend's mastif-dobie mix has very high liver enzymes, she is 10 and otherwise looks great. She is slowing down, sleeps a lot but has good appetite, etc., he opted for no more tests (at her age, he would not put her through any treatments other than meds). She loved the liver-cleansing diet, is back on regular now and taking Sam-e; like you, he is just hoping for some good quality time with an older beloved dog. Hugs to Pete!
