Apparently our basenji amaze other basenji owners. They sit on command (most of the time), and we have them doing all kinds of tricks.
We were just smart enough to know that the Basenji are smart enough to withhold trick if we withold treat.
Bribery is your best friend when training Basenji.

Yea, I get the same attention, but I like people so I am happy to tell anyone all they want to know about my new love, Sahara. She is my little Africian Queen, and yes I do have holes in many of my shirts, but they are worth it. She has broken some of my things, surfing my tables, and other furniture, and sure I fuss at her while she hides her head under my couch pillows. She is quite a character, and I have also taught her many tricks. I have a sticker on my car that reads, "My Basenji is smarter than Your Honor Student" and she is!!!!! haha!!!:D

That's great! I've never seen that bumper sticker before.
