    Our Go Go (our Basenji) is almost 14 years old. He is not doing so well the vet. said all of his test indicate cancer of the liver. He doesn't appear to be in pain he just isn't moving around. I hand feed him and give him his medicine. I just cant imagine not having him or a Basenji around.

    With that all being said I am looking for our next family member.

    @markw cast you net far. We lived in Hawaii and found our love in New Zealand. Cost was $2,000 including air fare. He was well worth it. morse.stafford@gmail.com

    Where are you located? I have several breeders to recommend in the midwest! In the meantime, checking the BCOA list as Tanza suggested is a good place to start. Be warned though, puppies are being born this time of the year and many breeders have waiting lists!

    Where are you located? There are actually a lot of options. Sadly, as of late, not a lot of basenjis being posted to BRAT. There are other rescues, including a great rescue for basenjis in Florida and California. Also, if you can't find a suitable rescue, please consider young and adults from breeders that they have decided don't fit their breeding plan. They also need and make great pets.

    Hi rachel, I am looking to find a home for my basenji. Her name is Noel and she is 3 years old. She is a very good girl, lots of energy and very sweet. She knows basic commands. She just needs more time than I can give her. My recently had to take on my 6 month old granddaughter so Noel ends up spending tons of time in her crate.     @JazzysMom: Keoki, regardless of how truly stunning he really is ;) , is destined for pet-hood per my husband. Which is fine, because all we ever wanted was a dog to snuggle and hike with!:D You have two (2) really beautiful Basenjis. How wonderful that you and family made room for three (3) deserving pets - and with Jazzy a show winner! Hat's off to you and your amazing large family! Truly . . . :)
