Cast your net world wide. We looked looked for ours when we were in Hawaii. And the mainland, none. So we got our basenji from NZ. Cost was $2000 in 1960 but he was worth it. Most cost was the plane transport of him.

You would do better if you cast your net a little further.

You can fly a dog to you. I was in Hawaii and could not find one on the mainland so got my from New Zealand.

First off, you have to remember that a Basenji is smarter the a human. So make your play a game time. That way he or she is not trying to out game you.

Best to seek out someone that has a basenji whom lives near you. Maybe there is a Basenji club near where you live?? Remember, the Basenji is smarter then us humans

Looks like you are out of luck. Basenji's are escape artists. Could use your 3 ft wall and then build a 4 ft behind it only 2 ft apart??? Put a port hole in the inner fence so it can return to you side of the yard.

first, do not use a chain link type of fence. A basenji can scale it in a second. Looks like a tall close wood fence is out for one has to be at lest 7 ft tall.

Try and use a hacksaw blade. Use no pressure, just drag it vertical along its coat .

they love the snow.....If you have a fireplace, it will be within inches of it. If they have a damp coat , you will see the steam coming up from their back.
