Vet in Vancouver /Lowermainland BC

  • :) I'm looking for a new vet for my girl , her
Current one is good , but I'd like one that has experience with
Basenjis , or one that also always just takes walk ins ? ( great in one aspect odd on the other )
:) if anyone knows , please let me know , Apex is great but it's in Langley and to far for me since I
Practically live 15 mins away from YVR (Vancouver Int'l Aiport)

Combo vaccine? Hope that you mean distemper/parvo, not distemper/parvo and rabies… shots should always be separated by a few weeks inbetween... They can be really hard on dogs immune systems given all at one time

  • Distemper and parvo, she had her rabies last month ;) in the first week of may

I live in the east suburbs of Pittsburgh. I take my B to Norwin Veterinary Associates. Ask for Dr. Harvey Bendix, if he is available. He diagnosed Senji with his liver disease and basically saved his life. He's open to alternative as well as traditional medicine.

A great thing about where you live in MA is that if there was something your regular vet couldn't handle, you have both Tufts and Angell Memorial within a reasonable driving distance.

Well, your precious ones only have to have a rabies booster once every 3 years! Please tell all your friends in Wichita about the ordinance change – the newspaper buried the announcement in other animal-related information, I'm sure many pet owners in the city don't have a clue that they no longer have to booster every year. Though my dogs have not had a reaction to a vaccine, I tend to err on the side of caution when it comes to vaccines. I would rather give a benadryl to help prvent a reaction then wait and hope for the best. I say this because my cat had a severe vaccine reaction after his rabies shot. Within 20 minutes of the shot he was vomiting, the hair at the vaccination site fell out and the site became swollen. We had to rush him back to the vet to be treated for the reaction.
