No, we won't be able to this year either - will have only specials to enter anyway, puppies are too young. But we also are planning on Ft Worth!

I might have too look into the Ft. Worth show then to spectate. Have only been to one here in San Antonio an one in Houston before.

One pointer for you, when trying to move her front legs on the table, move from the elbow instead of mid/lower leg... she is less likely to pull it away from you....

And yes the breed ring was tiny, and Maya (when she actually gets going) has such a long stride and trots out quite fast so it wasnt ideal. But better than being out in the rain 🙂

He has a good hand with dog?s and is extremely knowledgeble he with several of the swedish kennel club have put their foot down when it comes to breeds that have gone to far like the Basset Hound,Mastino Napoletano etc… So our judges have now gotten order not to award these extreme bred dog?s so that the breeders will start to breed back to more sound looking dog?s.So far we have avoided any silly trends with the Basenji although a whippet kinda dog has been trying to emerge in to the show circuit hopefully that won?t be a success.One dog that I really like she has such a basenji expression is Fula Of The Congo dead but not forgotten:)

If you can find a copy, I would recommend trying to get a hold of a copy of the Basenji Stacked and Moving by Robert Cole. They are no longer in print and can get quite expensive but every so often you can luck upon a copy that is reasonably priced.

Hi Stef-how have you been. I haven't seen much of you in the last couple of years. You probably don't remember me though. I'm usually with Lynn Arrand and Sue Wilcox.

If your dog is CKC registered, we require 10 points including at least one 'major' (two points or more). It's not super hard to obtain a championship-unless you have a black as I do. Black is pretty well always dead last. But now they do require one two point win.

The only problem is that we kind of have to co-ordinate a show. Since there aren't many of us, we get together and decide which shows we will be entering. It's more like a friendly event than competition. It's fun and a social event for us if you can imagine.
