Couldn't add this pic for some reason on my first post!
Hi all, well I haven't been on the forum for quite a while, finally have settled into our new house and have internet connection.
I don't know if any of you remember me and Eesha from before, she's doing really well, 14 months old now and she's fab.
As it's my birthday on Tuesday, we've been talking about getting another Basenji for a while, anyway we took a 200 mile drive to Newcastle yesterday to pick our little boy up, there was a litter of 8 and they were just soo gorgeous, so we ended up coming home with a boy and a girl!!! Whoops
I'm glad to be back online and hopefully will be on here much more regularly now
We've named our new baby boy Umi (pronounced ooomy (Egyptian name meaning "Life" - as our Eesha is African for "Life")
As we weren't planning on getting a little girl, we had to find her a name yesterday, so we came up with Kiya (pronounced Kye-a) (Egpytian meaning Jovial Lady)
Hopefully the pictures have uploaded below ok. Hope all of you I have spoken to before are doing well, it'd be nice to hear from you all again
I have a new video of Eesha, she has become obsessed with the bath! If we leave the bathroom door open, she's straight in the bath, full of water or empty.
Filmed her last night in the bath by herself this time, digging, jumping and sticking her head underwater like she was looking for fish!! It made us giggle
Here's the link - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQTaAZeANa0
Pic of Eesha looking all grown up in her new collar, plus the links to the videos. Can't stop taking pictures and filming her, she's our little star

Oh here's one more, I'm sure you're all bored of my video's of Eesha now, but wanted to share!
New pic of our little poser Eesha looking all grown in her new collar
We have an electronic yes no game, Eesha managed to turn it on then, then went bonkers!! At one point she presses the buttons herself
@Shaye's:
How adorable she is! Does she really like the bath? That's a little unusual, although some do and some don't like water in general I guess.
Honestly, we have to leave the bathroom door shut permantely now as she'll justy go up there and jump in the empty bath and start digging!! As soon as we run a bath she's outside the door and if we open it she leaps straight in there! Have you seen the video? - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14qSF8BCOKI
Hi there,
Welcome, I am fairly new on here myself and I'm sure you'll find this forum and these lovely people on here as friendly, helpful and genuine as I have.
Was good of you to take your little boy in, I would love to see some pics if you want to put any on.
Hope to chat to you soon
Kat, Gavin and our little Eesha
wow, these are fantastic, you're so talented! Thanks for sharing them. I'd love you to draw my Eesha!!
She's definately full of mischeif, but that's why we love her so much, never a dull moment, not even if you want one!!
She's so much like a little human, are all Basenji's like that?
She just seems to think and watch tv and look me right in the eyes and have such an expressive little face!
Here's more pics of our little girl sunbathing and bathing!!
I'm out of the picture now, she has made a new best friend in the shape of "Molly" our friends Bichon Frise x Poodle!!! Lovely to watch!
Only pic I have of Eesha at work, will upload some more recent ones tonight!! She loves her spongebob blanket!!:)
Am thinking of taking her to the beach at the weekend, so will see what she makes of the ocean (a giant bath!!) Will take the video camera with me!!
That video is hilarious!!! Wow! Does sho know she's a basenji?! Or haven't you told her that yetβ¦
It is so funny isn't it, we were just crying with laughter when she was doing it!! I know!-I'm not sure I've mentioned it to her yet that she is a Basenji, might hold off telling her for a while, so she can do more crazy water stunts!!
Thanks for msg Patty, I'm really glad to be back on here, it's such a friendly forum isn't it and so helpful.
Glad you liked the video, we have so much fun with her, she just makes us laugh in different ways every day!!
Thank you, my sister is recovering well, was scary but she is going to be fine so all is well.
Eesha should have won the most energetic puppy at the party, she never stops running!!
That's true, humans don't get on with everyone they meet do they. She has made a good friend with our friends Bischon Frise Molly, they love playing together, i'll put some pics on here.
Well enjoy your three day break, i know what it's like getting organised to go away, very stressful! Have a great time and hope to talk to you when you're back
Glad you enjoyed it. I know, it shocked us so much!! It was totally out of the blue and I had to film it coz I heard Gavin shout from upstairs and he was laughing his head off!!
She is growing up fast, we love her to bits, having so much fun with her, almost can just watch her instead of the tv these days!! Yes bathroom carpet was a bit drenched, but worth it to watch her!!
Hi Basi,
Thanks for the welcome back, glad you liked the video, honestly it was so funny to watch, she's never done it before and normally doesn't mind baths but not over keen on them, think it was because she saw Gavin was in there!! Bless her, thinking of taking her to the beach at the weekend, see what she makes of the sea!!
