CA-Orange-Possible Male Black & White Basenji or Mix-In Shelter

I cannot tell from the picture but he does not look like a Chi but a possible Basenji or mix. He could be a Cardigan Welsh Corgi as they come in black & white. He is at the Orange County Animal Care Center. I have not contacted the shelter to see is he is still available. Is there anyone nearby who can check on him?

I found out that this shelter does not have a Basenji rescue contact.

    Here is his Petharbor page:

He has been adopted and is going to his new home on Tuesday. Marilyn agreed to give the adopters BRAT's website for more info on basenjis. -Nicole

I guess for some people he is too large for a Chi and not quite a Basenji-too small as he weighs 15 lbs. He is estimated to be 5 years old. If you know someone who might be interested in him or a rescue group that could take him, please forward the information. This boy is listed on Craigslist as urgent and here is his information and the link: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/pet/2772364788.html "CODY" needs a second chance. He is a male, Chihuahua / Basenji Mix. He has been at the Van Nuys shelter since OCTOBER 15, 2011. Because "CODY" has been at the shelter so long he is running out of time. Due to the shelter running over capacity he will be euthanized soon if he does not get adopted. Please if you are looking for a dog consider adopting "CODY" and giving him a second chance. He is at the East Valley Shelter in Van Nuys. To see a photo and get additional information please see the link below. http://www.petharbor.com/pet.asp?uaid=LACT.A1257520 Jennifer

It's a good thing we don't have a need for a lot of rescues up here. I would have a house full of B's and probably be divorced just as quick.

I sent the url to BRAT just now. I was called yesterday about a transport for a basenji in a Pasco County shelter, but before he could be pulled, someone had adopted him. He was still there waiting for neuter, but theoretically has been adopted. Not sure if this is the same dog but sounds like it.
