  • Know this breeder in Poland?
    TisaT Tisa

The father of that black puppy is Alicjas male BI BAHATIKA Loango (his father is Mandela Free Out of Africa and Rocket Man is his grand father). I have seen him in person a few times and I know Alicja in person but I don't know the breeder of this litter.
You can find out more about this litter on her home page:http://bibahatika.w.interia.pl/eng/home.html
Go under Puppies and then Offspring of our male. ;)
I think the mother of the this litter is from Russia.

  • Basenjis that can't stand other basenjis
    TisaT Tisa

I have the same "problem" with my female.
She reacts strongly when we meet other basenjis (especially females), than when we meet other breeds. But I found out that it helps if we walk together on the leashes first. That way she calms down quicker and then they can normally walk/play together of leashes….
But in our case is not guarding but more like dominance. ;)

  • Basenji in Croatia
    TisaT Tisa

    Yes, I hope so…. :o
And then you will have one of her girls in Croatia too. :D

  • Basenji in Croatia
    TisaT Tisa

The litter in Croatia will be from Loa's sister Asha. :)
And it will probably be red and black combination. :)

The days will pass quickly, you will see. ;)

  • Crate training
    TisaT Tisa

I have the same problem. I haven't crate trained mine when she was little (I am so sorry about that). She is now 2,5 years old. She loves her crate and she is sleeping in it but with doors opened. Today I tried to closed the door and I was in the same room all the time. First minute she was just exploring the crate and where she can go out, and than…..she start to cry loudly....I have never heard her cry like that before...and she was shaking...It was horrible......I went to the crate and calm her down throe closed doors. When she was a little bit calm I gave her a treat and than let her out. Is that ok or should I let her cry (but I think if I do that she will start to hate the crate). If it's ok, should I repeat this till she get use to it? I am not training her to sleep in it with closed doors. I would like to train her to get in when I am at work so I can take her with me.... Any suggestion?
