It told me I'm a golden retriever…..

I went to the BCOA breeder list….a breeder was listed under Louisiana last week....and I went back to check again today....and she's not listed there anymore. So I guess she doesn't breed Basenji's anymore. The closest breeder listed on the site is 7 hours away. So I was hoping to find someone a little closer. But if I have to travel to get my puppy....I"ll do it! : )

My fiance and I are looking for a female Basenji puppy in Mississippi. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a breeder anywhere near me. If anyone knows of any breeders in MS, LA, or TN please let me know. We would like to have a puppy sometime closer to fall 2010.

My fiance and I were wondering if B's make good jogging partners? We don't have a B yet, but hopefully sometime soon. We like to jog/run on our town's running trail. It would be really nice if we could take the dog running with us after it's old enough.
Are any of your B's jogging partners?

I agree with the others. Definitely RUN and don't look back. I'm not a breeder….and I'm not a basenji owner yet....but health testing with any breed is important. I would definitely not consider buying a puppy from any breeder who doesn't care to health test their own dogs and the puppies. There are breeders out there who will talk to you, answer all your questions, and test their dogs. Keep looking for the right breeder. That's what I'm doing....looking for the right breeder.

Hi everyone! I'm Michelle. You can call me Shelby (family nickname). I have joined this forum in search of learning more about the basenji. My fiance and I are looking for a puppy to join our little family. We have fallen in love with the basenji and would love to learn from real basenji owners so we will know what it's like to live with one before we begin our search for our beloved doggie.
