Our B went to a family in another state. They have had Bs in the past and really wanted another one. The only home that may not have understood B behavior was the first one with the elderly couple. The family we got him from wanted to keep him but had a child who was allergic. Our daughter wanted to keep him also but could not have a dog where she is living. We have 6 other dogs, and felt we could not give him the attention he deserves. We would have liked to keep him, but believe he will have a better home where he now is. Thank you for your concern.

I'm sorry, but our boy has found a home. Good luck with your search.

RE: Looking for Basenji
As I posted on the other thread; we have an appointment to get him neutered next Monday. We certainly don't want him to end up in a puppy mill situation. We just want him to go to a good home where he can live out a long and happy life. We are on a fixed income and just need to recoup what we have spent purchasing the dog and taking him to the vet. He is up to date on all shots and heartworm meds.
Thanks, Marilyn -
RE: Basenji boy for sale in East TN
Here's a little more info on our Basenji boy. We have an appointment to get him neutered next week. I am not sure about the Fanconi testing, but have the breeder's name and contact info. He was originally bought by an elderly couple who couldn't handle a young, energetic dog. They sold him to a family where one of the children broke out in a rash, apparently allergic to him. That's who we bought him from for our 24 year old daughter who now can't have a dog where she lives. We have 6 other dogs so just don't have time to give another one enough attention. We are very concerned that he goes to a good, forever home this time because he really is a good dog.

Basenji boy for sale in East TN
We decided to place this dog with BRAT, so he is no longer available.We have an 8 month old male,unneutered, tri-color who needs a new home. He weighs 21 pounds, is friendly with other dogs and people. ACA papers available; copy of pedigree back 4 generations. We bought him for our daughter, but the place she was moving burned so she can't take him. He is available now for $200, negotiable. We would rather not ship, but will meet potential owners a reasonable distance away. We are near Knoxville, TN;

RE: Looking for Basenji
Hi Susan,
I hope your little one is better by now and that you are still looking for a Basenji. We have an 8 month old tri-color male who needs a new home. This guy loves people and other dogs (we have 6 assorted dogs) and even gets along with our cat. He is beautiful, even has some bridle color on his face, and he is very well-behaved (for a Basenji). We got him for our daughter who was moving to an apartment where she could have a dog, but before she could move, it burned down! This was in Nashville, but we are in east TN, north of Knoxville. We have copies of his pedigree back 4 generations. We hope to recoup some of our expences, $200, negotiable.
Thanks, Marilyn
