thanks for the input from all. i am treating him with vet's + best for the hot spots. they and he seem to be getting better. he's working on terrorizing his 3rd ll bean bed as we speak. today's his 3rd birthday so he can do whatever he wants!!!

mango (3 yr old r&w) plays with his german short haired pups 7&9 month females. they beat his ass but he loves the visit. only concern id his redness in his stomach and genital areas. he does snort when he sleeps but thats not new…he snores....always has as far as i know. i am concerned about the extent of the red and rawness of mango's belly. he's been red before but not like this. he seems a little fat too...all of a sudden...but maybe i dont remember last year. his stats are in the calendar now. calling his doctor tomorrow.

exactly why i converse infrequently. i'm never quite sure where i am in these forums. it sure is fun to see all B lovers.

I tend to read a lot of the conversations in the B forums. I'm just a bit cautious conversing as I rarely have a clue exactly where I am.

My Mango hasn't been feeling so good. Vomiting every or every other day. Recently started consistently eating grass (but he's a picky grass eater) and a few minutes later…yuck! :( His water drinking is inconsistent. We have been out of our routine for a week or so but his diet was consistent (I hope) until yesterday when I put him on boiled chicken and rice. He fake yawns quite often lately. It's strange. Today he chased his tail so fast he knock himself over. I almost gave him a benadryl as I thought he was having some kind of reaction. Mostly that's fun to watch...today...scary. He's going to his vet tomorrow. My heart breaks when he's not his B self.

Just introducing myself. I'm Colleen and Mango is my 2 and 1/2 year old red and white basenji. I'll download his pic once I figure out how to perform that function. I'll typically lay low on the site but will engage if asked a question or need help with a basenji topic.

hi all. just checking out how others love their basenjis. i sure love my mango. he's 2+ and makes me laugh everyday!
